Who doesn’t love the scents of fall?! Or decorating with a cute little candle?! They can make any space feel cozier, which is super crucial especially as we are spending more and more time at home!
Sometimes they can be a little pricey, however! Or maybe you’re looking for a fun, fall-themed activity you can do at home!
Either way, try out this super simple DIY candle for fall!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Wax (I recommend wax flakes if you can get them)
- Container (I like to use mason jars or containers from old candles!)
- Fragrance and coloring (both optional)
You can pick up the wax and wick from your local arts & crafts store, some home décor stores or superstore!
Here’s what you’ll do:
Using an old pot, place on stove or heat source of choice. Add wax to your pot and heat (while stirring) until wax is melted. Add optional color and fragrance if you choose to include it!
Before you pour your melted wax into your container, add your wick to your container. Pinch the wick in place by using skewers or popsicle sticks and placing on top of your container lid (leave space around the edges to pour wax into your container).
Carefully pour hot wax into your container.
Once the wax has cooled, trim down your wick to desired size!
Voila, there you have it! A DIY candle you can cozy up with and enjoy! There’s just something about making things from scratch that makes you appreciate them more!
